Frequently Asked Questions
How does the process work?
After you either fill out an inquiry form or contact me, we will have a chat about where you want to go, your travel preferences, budget, etc. Basically all the things I will need to know to be able to pair you with the right trip and create you a quote. Once I have your quote ready, we will again get on the phone to discuss the details and see if anything needs tweaking. Once everything looks good to you, I will go ahead and put your deposit down, or full payment if needed, and book everything for you.
What types of trips do you plan?
All kinds! Cruises, rail journeys, cabin getaways in the mountains, all-inclusive resort vacations, multiple destination trips, honeymoons, group trips. I can also book things like car rentals, tours, and even concert tickets.
Do you charge a planning fee?
For most trips I do not charge a fee, as I earn commission on the things I book like cruises, hotels, tours, etc. There are only a few scenarios where I would need to charge a planning fee, which would be:
1. Booking flights only. I do not earn commission on air, so I would need to charge a fee if you are only needing flights. This fee is usually $50 per person.
2. Wholesale rates. Sometimes I come across deeply discounted, wholesale rates from select suppliers that aren’t available to the public. When that happens, I may charge a wholesale fee to give you access to these exclusive deals, often saving you more than the fee itself.
3. Itinerary planning only (book yourself). If you are comfortable booking your trip yourself, but just need help planning everything day by day, I offer itinerary planning services. Fees vary based on length and detail of itinerary.
1-4 day itinerary for $200.
5-8 day itinerary for $350.
9-15 day itinerary for $475.
